  • 2023 Highlights
Fall Fun Day and Costume Parade. Students don costumes and play games and snacks organized by our families. Older classes buddy up with younger grades to help them with the activities. It concludes with a grand finale costume parade for the parents of all classes through the yard. Congressman Espaillat Visit. To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we were honored to host Congressman Adriano Espaillat, who spoke to our students about taking pride in their identity and family traditions, especially for our Hispanic population. Thanksgiving Family Potluck. We hosted a packed gym with a wide variety of amazing food, all brought in by our families. Not only did everyone get to have an amazing meal, but our students got on the mic to express gratitude. Christmas Show. Under the direction of Ms. Jackson, each class put on a variety of holiday performances, ranging from plays to songs to dancing, in front of a packed audience. Catholic Schools Week. A week of celebrations to celebrate our community and the value of Catholic education, our students put on an expo, families came together at a multicultural potluck, and the middle schoolers played the teachers in a staff vs. student volleyball game. Black History Month. We invited Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and State Senator Cordell Cleare to discuss the importance of school and community engagement from an early age. We also presented a Black History Month video featuring different class performances on the history of Black Music in the US. Dancing Classroom Show. Our 4th and 5th graders put on a show for their families after participating in the 10-week Dancing Classroom program, showing off moves ranging from ballroom to hip hop dance. Stations of the Cross Pageant. Students close the Lenten season with a whole school performance of the stations of the Cross, directed by our neighbors the Sisters of the Franciscan Renewal.
