Welcome!

Dear Families,

Education, infused with the Gospel, is the most powerful gift, and I commend you and thank you for considering a Catholic education for your child.

Every day I enter our school, I appreciate the combination of joy, academic rigor, and faith that makes OLQA so special. As principal, I have the privilege to be a champion advocate for our beloved children. I share in the OLQA commitment in “striving for greatness” in the formation of our children so they may thrive as scholars and saints both in our school and world.

We have a proud tradition of serving students for over 125 years, and I look forward to welcoming you personally to the school we love today. The best way to find out more is to reach out to us, about…

  • our academic curriculum and full-time, in-person learning
  • our graduates’ strong record of high school admissions and scholarships
  • our extended day, after-school program, and enrichment opportunities
  • our financial aid offered to every student

…or any other questions you have.  Click Find Out More to get in touch with us, or call at 212.722.9277.

Faith animates all we do, particularly faith that all students are a gift from God and can learn at the highest academic levels. We welcome students of all religious backgrounds.

Our teachers use a demanding curriculum, thoughtful and research-backed teaching practices, and selfless support to help students develop the habits of mind and heart to flourish in high school, college, and beyond. Our graduates excel at high schools as Regis, Notre Dame, Xavier, and Young Women’s Leadership School.

All families receive need-based scholarships. With a scholarship, tuition can be as low as $100 per month.

Our patron Saint and Queen, Mother Mary, has been a model of leadership throughout my own life, and my belief in Mary’s radical “yes” has also solidified my “yes” to the OLQA community, and to this holy ministry.

I hope you and your child consider saying “yes” to our school! I speak for all of our teachers and families here at Our Lady Queen of Angels when I say that we’d love for you to join us, and we look forward to welcoming you into our community.

Sincerely,

James Sayer

Principal
